Georgetown Impact Policies
Programming
Georgetown Impact Volleyball Club reserves the right to cancel any program, camp, clinic, lesson, open gym, tryout or club team due to lack of enrolment or other reasons beyond our control. A full refund will be provided when GIVC cancels the program.
Other Programming related refunds
Withdraw more than 14 days prior to the start of program/camp/clinic/lesson
A full refund will be provided minus a $25.00 administration fee
Withdraw within 14 days or less prior to the start of program/camp/clinic/lesson
50% of the registration fees will be refunded minus a $25.00 administration fee
Withdraw within 48 hours prior to the start of program/camp/clinic/lesson
No refund will be provided
Once the program/camp/clinic/lesson has started
No refund will be provided
Open Gyms or Rep Team tryouts
No refund will be provided
Participants who must withdraw from the program/camp/lesson due to personal injury
Eligible to receive a prorated refund at the discretion of the Club Executive
Rep Travel Team | All Athletes
Georgetown Impact Volleyball Club (GIVC) does not offer any refunds for Rep Travel Team volleyball athletes since the loss of an athlete cannot be easily replaced once all club athletes have committed to their teams.
The GIVC defines the start of the season as the team’s first practice and not the team’s first tournament.
Other Rep Team refunds:
Open commitment deposit
Required upon acceptance of an open commitment to a rep team
If the club terminates the commitment, they are required to return any deposits they have received to the athlete and their family. If the commitment is terminated by the athlete, the club is permitted to keep the deposit IF the agreement is terminated 7 days after the athlete sends their agreement back to the club.
Injury or medical withdrawal
Partial refunds or prorated fees may be considered upon receipt of a physician’s note and at the discretion of the Club Executive. Expenditures for uniform kits, OVA fees, MRS fees and other non-recoverable expenses are not refundable.
Club-initiated withdrawal
If a player is removed from the program due to conduct violations, OVA ineligibility, or non-compliance with club policies, no refunds will be issued.
